Blessed is the people of whom this is true; blessed is the people whose God is the Lord. (‭Psalm‬ ‭144‬:‭15‬ NIV)

“Oh the contentment of” is how the Amplified Version translates this word.

Blessing always accompanies belonging.

When you belong to God- when you are His and He is yours- you walk in blessings. They are the by-product of the relationship.

When your lordship is in order, the blessings abound.

When something or someone takes the place of The Lord on the throne of your life many other things abound as well, although most of them are not blessings.

So often we don’t realize that we have pushed God off the throne and put someone or something else there until the consequences become to big to ignore. Until the answer to “how is that working for you?” is “not at all”.

For the things in your life that “are not working at all”, ask yourself this question: “Is The Lord, The Lord in this area? Or have I replaced Him with insecurity, old habits, past experience or simply myself?”

My friend puts it this way: anything that you give your power to besides The Lord is an idol.

What are you giving power to today?

Blessing always accompanies belonging.

You belong to God and all of your issues do as well.

Pick one issue today and put God back on the throne of it.

Blessed is the people of who this is true.
