Obedience is a response.

It is a gift of trust.

When I ask my children to obey me, I am asking them to trust my love for them.

I don’t ask it as a test, I ask them to follow my direction because I want them to prosper and thrive.

“God, teach me lessons for living so I can stay the course. Give me insight so I can do what you tell me— my whole life one long, obedient response.” (Psalm 119:33-40 MSG)

Insight into what?

Insight into God’s heart.

When I see God’s heart for me and all he has gone through to reach me (the cross and beyond), I realize that obedience is the gateway to prosperity and freedom.

Because he loves me.

Obedience is to be a part of a wonderful conversation with the Sovereign Creator that began the moment I accepted God’s gift of salvation through the cross of Christ.

He died and was buried in a borrowed grave. Jesus rose from that borrowed grave on the third day.

He lives.

He shows me how to live and I LIVE.

Have a wonderful Easter Weekend celebrating the gift we have in our Risen Lord.

May you LIVE because He lives.

I like this post, enjoyed this one regards for putting up. The goal of revival is conformity to the image of Christ, not imitation of animals. by Richard F. Lovelace. bcfekddfkedd
