Center Stage

When worry takes center stage in your life, soon the dark cloud of anxiety begins to seep into even your most precious moments.

The thing about worry is that it doesn’t bully it’s way to the spotlight. It lurks and whispers. Haunts and hovers. Steals the edges of joy and taints the bright colors of life. Slowly fills the stage until that is all there is.

Make no mistake, worry is a thief.

When you put prayer in the center of your life, begins small but strong light. It beats back the lurkers and thieves. It expands as it becomes an offering of thanksgiving and praise, petitions and requests. It weaves itself into worship in the sweet awareness of God’s presence.

This is not about denying that you have valid things to worry about. This is about throwing them into fire of prayer as using them to fuel burn.

Worry is a thief.
Prayer is a warrior.
Choose your companion.

Don’t fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns.

Before you know it, a sense of God’s wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down.

It’s wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life.
