Simplify

It is the word that is rambling around in the back of my mind and in the tired places of my heart. It is a wish, a need and soon soon soon, a necessity.

Life creeps complicated in and busy yeses take up precious moments. Daily pressure to pay bills, clean counters, fold clothes, feed people, look presentable, be fabulous.

It is what life is made of and yet can steal life away if you pick up (and keep) responsibilities that are not yours or unresolved moments that clutter your soul with worry and fear.

Simplify is routinely needed and must begin in your heart. What has gathered there that is hindering the life in your life?

Resentment,
envy,
disappointment,
exhaustion,
fear,
stress,
doubt,
anger
.

These are the life stealers, heart complicators, soul fillers.

What needs to go so you can feel it beat again?

Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life. (Proverbs 4:23 NIV84)

  1. “Simplify” — I love the word and I know it is something I must do. It is hard; I am such a sentimentalist but I know it IS time to simplify and clean out things! Not only my home, but also my mind. Get rid of the things that take up time, take over my mind and makes me anxious. I want to focus on the things God has for me. Thank you for this message this morning. A great way to start my day.

    • Doreen,
Right?!? You hit the nail right on the head. Where the mind goes, life follows. Thank you for taking a minute and letting me know. It encourages me and confined that the next blog is to focus on a simple mind. Thank you!

I love to hear from you and appreciate every comment!
