Look Closer

At what you already have in your hands.

Look deeper at the vision in your heart.

Gaze intently, not at your own reflection, but at the One you have been created to reflect. Then look at the image bearer you have been created and recreated to be.

God’s original plan was that you be His image bearer. The representation of His loving hands, heart, and words in your world. You are the vessel that brings heaven to earth, interrupts the downward spiral of depression with the upward flow of faith, and intervenes in lost lives to help them find the Way home.

This was the original plan sideswiped by sin, waylaid by fear, tempted to deny by the whisperer of destructive lies.

You were created to be an image bearer. Without Christ, all this is lost. With Christ, you have been restored, redeemed, repurposed, recreated in Him to walk in God’s original plan for your life.

The perceptive find wisdom in their own front yard; fools look for it everywhere but right here. (Proverbs 17:24 MSG)

Are you looking everywhere but “right here”? The answers you are seeking are found not by looking at others but by recognizing that God has already given you what you need to fulfill His call for your life.

“For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago”. (Ephesians 2:10 NLT)

Look closer at what you have in your hands.
Look deeper at the vision in your heart.
Gaze intently, not at your own reflection, but at the One you have been created to reflect. Look at the image bearer you have been created and recreated to be- and start living it.

“What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.”
Emerson

Gaze intently, not at your own reflection, but at the One you have been created to reflect. SO BEAUTIFULLY SAID! I so need to get my eye’s OFF myself and refocus my eye’s onto HIM!
