Full Attention

Have you ever had someone give you their full attention?

It’s a powerful thing.

They stop what they are doing, look you in the eye and fully listen to understand what you are saying.

In the age of information and infinite distractions, giving someone your full attention is a gift of love.

It is the gift God gives to you in love and it is a gift He asks you to give in love as well.

“Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us.” (1 John 4:11, 12 NIV)

Who needs the gift of your full attention today?

  1. I absolutely love this! Personal reflection giving my kids my full attention when they’re talking to me. Avoiding distractions. Not just because it’s the right thing to do, but because it’s showing God’s love through me. Not to mention how less the world’s attention compares to my child’s. How much eye contact and smiles will measure to my children as compared to a social media scroll. What an empowering verse! Thank you for the reminder.
