When we lived in Las Vegas, the lights on the Strip almost outshone the stars in the sky. Almost, but not completely. In the city, you could count the stars on your hands. Every summer we would take our boys to camp in the mountains of Northern California and at night we would lift our eyes to see a canopy of stars filling every inch of the sky. More than you could ever possibly count and deeper than you could ever comprehend.

Psalms 147:4 declares, “He sets his stars in place, calling them all by their names.” (TPT)

God knows exactly how many stars are there, the ones you can see and the ones you can’t. He knows each one by name, even the ones so far out that our most advanced technology has not discovered them yet. If God holds the number and name of each star in the universe, He is able to hold you. He knows your name. He knows you. He loves you. He is able to take care of the things you see and the things you can’t see. God is able. Rest in the wonder of His love. When you need to be reminded of God’s power and majesty, take some time looking up at the stars.
