From Worry to Worship

A whisper of fear can wedge open the door of worry. Then instead of being focused on all the wonders of your world, the worries of it eclipse your perspective.

I have a better idea. Instead of being caught up in worry, throw yourself headlong into worship.

When you worry, you are focused on what ifs, what’s next and what is going to happen?

When you worship, you are focused on God’s faithfulness, goodness and almighty power.

The shift from worry to worship is like being transported to another world.  The tightness in your chest releases and opens up, faith floods in, rises up and overflows.

The things you are worrying about might not change but by changing your focus from worry to worship you will dramatically change how you experience them.

“Oh come, let us sing to the Lord; let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation! Let us come into his presence with thanksgiving; let us make a joyful noise to him with songs of praise! For the Lord is a great God, and a great King above all gods.” Psalm 95:1-3 ESV
