Take Refuge

“See how numerous are my enemies and how fiercely they hate me! Guard my life and rescue me; do not let me be put to shame, for I take refuge in you.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭25‬:‭19‬-‭20‬ ‭NIV‬‬

In this passage, David expresses his utter dependence on God. His eyes are fixed on the Lord, seeking His guidance and protection. In David’s lifetime, he saw others worshipping idols and putting their trust in what they could see.  David refused to put his trust in things he could see and stubbornly put his trust in his relationship with the unseen Almighty God.

Today, I want to encourage you to pull your focus (and trust) from what you can see and be stubborn about focusing on your Heavenly Father who is unseen. He is the Creator of you and all you see. No matter what you are facing today, I am praying that you will continue to look to Him to rescue you. Seek God’s guidance and protection as you courageously stay faithful to who God has called you to be. Then confidently wait for Him to do what only He can do. He is your Lord, Savior, Rescuer and Deliverer.

“Vicious, violent enemies hate me. There are so many, Lord. Can’t you see? Will you protect me from their power against me? I have taken shelter in you. Let it never be said that when I trusted you, you didn’t come to my rescue.”
Psalms 25:19-20 TPT
