Life changes whether you want it to or not.
Sometimes the changes are gradual, other times your life changes so fast, it makes your head spin.
Your life changes but God does not.
Speaking through the Old Testament prophet Malachi, God declares, “I the Lord do not change.” (Malachi 3:6 NIV)
That is important for us to understand.
God does not change.
We are so used to a fast-paced, always changing world that it can be hard to understand that God Himself does not change. The One who spoke light into the darkness is the same God who sent Jesus to break the power of sin and death, the same God who raised Jesus from the dead and the same God whose arms are open wide like a Father to you and me. His character, faithfulness, love, and purposes for humanity do not change.
Everything else in your life will change, but He will not.
He will be your anchor in the storm, your guide through the wilderness, the rock of your salvation, your peace in the chaos and your security in an unstable economy.
God does not change.
May you rest in the truth of the unchanging love of God and be bold in the midst of the unexpected changes that life brings you.
