It is the dark strategy of the devil to tempt you to believe that you must be good enough to be chosen, that you must fight for your reputation, that you must prove yourself to others and God.
Jesus said the devil is the father of lies and that lying is his native tongue.
God loves you, He has chosen you and He will change you.
His love defeats the incessant fears that demand constant comparison with others, one up-man-ship and always having to look out for number one.
You don’t have to look out for “number one” when you know in your bones that you are the apple of God’s eye and loved beyond reason.
Yell a loud no to the Devil and his lies and he will scamper away.
Say a quiet firm grateful yes to God and the truth of His love for you through Jesus and He will come close.
Ask for help to be free of living by the world’s values and God will set you free to live everyday as the valued, loved, accepted child of God that you are with nothing to prove, nothing to fear and nothing to lose.
