Maybe you woke up this morning and thought, “There has to be more to life than this.”
There is.
There is is more to live for than the next new thing or the next great distraction.
There is more to life than the food you eat and the clothes you wear.
There is love, relationships, purpose and security.
Jesus said in Matthew 6:25- 26 that “There is far more to your life than the food you put in your stomach, more to your outer appearance than the clothes you hang on your body. Look at the birds, free and unfettered, not tied down to a job description, careless in the care of God. And you count far more to him than birds.”
Your value to God has nothing to do with food, clothes, position, power or prestige.
You are valuable to God because you are His child.
Don’t believe the lie that your value to God lies in what you look like, what you have or what you do.
You can trust Him to provide food to eat, clothes to wear and so much more.
My friend, you are a child of God who is cherished, chosen and provided for.
This life, this love, this security comes from Jesus and is unshakable.
May today be a day that you live “care-less” in the care of your Father and be free to focus on other things than the basics.
