Worried and Stressed?

Are you worried and stressed today?

Me too.

Martin Luther said, “I have so much to do that I shall spend the first three hours in prayer.”

He had his priorities right. He knew that the more he had to do, the more time he needed with God.

When Jesus was at Martha and Mary’s house in Luke 10: 41, he told Martha, “you are worried and upset about many things, but few things are needed—or indeed only one.” ‭‭(NIV‬‬)

What is that “one thing”?

It is sitting at the feet of Jesus.

It is spending time in prayer but not the “here-is-the-list-of-everything-I-need-from-You-prayer” but the “remind-me-who-You-are” prayer.

If you are worried and stressed right now, the most powerful thing you can do is stop and sit at the feet of Jesus.

Spend some time worshiping Him.

You probably don’t have three hours but I bet you have 10 minutes.

Take 10 minutes (or more) and sit in the reality of His love and the awe inspiring wonder of His glory.

Drop your to-do list, close your eyes and take some time to sit with Jesus because when you sit at the feet of Jesus, time stops and eternity enters.

Let eternity in.

Then tackle your to do list.
