Choose Wisely

Do you need to have an important conversation today?

Before you do, I want to remind you that words are powerful, choose them well.

Your words hold power (and yes, I am talking to you).

You may think that no one listens to you but that is not true.

They are listening and today you have the power to help someone or hurt someone with your words.

Proverbs‬ ‭12:18‬ ‭says, “Some people make cutting remarks, but the words of the wise bring healing.” ‭‭(NLT‬‬)

Before you have that conversation or think about tearing into someone today, choose your words wisely.

You can encourage someone and lift them up today or you can destroy trust, discourage them, and complicate the entire situation.

Your words are powerful.

Before you say it, whatever it is, ask yourself if your words are going to help the situation or hurt it?

And when in doubt, don’t say anything at all.

Spend your time speaking the words you want to say and applying self-control to the ones you don’t.

Your words hold power, use them to bring healing and hope to the ones you love and the ones that need help.

My friend, may the words you choose to speak today bring healing to those who desperately need it and empower those around you to be courageous in pursuing the potential God has put in them.
