The Real You

Jesus loves you, the real you.

Not the one you think you should be but the person you actually are with all the contradictions within you – good, bad, helpful, hurtful, humble, prideful, broken, healed.

Jesus does not expect you to be perfect, He expects you to be real.

Real with who you are, where you are and that you need Him.

“So be content with who you are, and don’t put on airs. God’s strong hand is on you;”  1 Peter 5:6 MSG

Let go of who you think you should be and embrace who you are today.

Jesus does.

He loves you.

Let Him.

One Response

  1. Discovering and finding one’s true self takes patience, time, grace, self-love and forgiveness, not to mention going inward and doing the inner work, the hard work (which has no timeline). We all have layers of our false selves to shed in order to get down to who it is we are and created to be. Being real, fully accepting and embracing who we are is truly a gift, one that provides us with freedom and a peaceful heart 🤍🤍🤍
