What is your priority today?
When the word “priority” was introduced and used in the English language it was not plural, it was only singular.
It meant, what is the one most important thing you need to do today?
Modern life has pluralized it into “priorities”.
Now we have five top priorities rather than one. Our culture is now more about trying to figure out what is THE top priority out of the five top things that must be done today.
I vote that we make priority singular again, especially now as we are waist-deep in the busyness which leads to hurriedness which leads to a distracted, harried pace of life.
Make your relationship with God your first and only priority.
Let Him love you and fill you with the strength and grace you need to do the rest of the things you need to do today.
When you do, you will be pleasantly surprised by how that priority will impact everything else in your life.
“Steep your life in God-reality, God-initiative, God-provisions. Don’t worry about missing out. You’ll find all your everyday human concerns will be met.”
