There is a spot on the north side of the campground that you can stand and see the forest rolling on and on like a great green ocean. When I look at it and marvel at the expanse of it all, I think about how terrifying it would be to get lost in it. You hear those stories of people getting lost in the mountains and even with hundreds of people looking for them- they stay lost.
God is big. God’s love is big enough to encompass the expanse of humanity but people don’t get lost in God, they get found. There is room for every person under the canopy of his love. Every one. Not one is lost or forgotten. He knows where you are, what you are doing and what his purpose is for you.
“God’s love is meteoric, his loyalty astronomic, his purpose titanic, his verdicts oceanic. Yet in his largeness nothing gets lost; Not a man, not a mouse, slips through the cracks.” (Ps. 36:5-6 MSG)
Nothing gets lost.
